Sankalp Field Event: Pick 'n' Speak

PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE TO PICK A CHIT IN WHICH TOPIC WILL BE INDICATED AND THEN WILL HAVE TO SPEAK ABOUT THE TOPIC FOR 2-3 MINS.

RULES

• IT IS A SOLO EVENT

• THERE WILL BE 3 ROUNDS,DETAILS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON SPOT

• ALL ROUNDS ARE DISQUALIFYING ROUNDS

• REGISTER YOUR TEAMS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.(1/2 HOUR PRIOR TO THE EVENT COMMENCEMENT THE REGISTRATIONS ARE CLOSED)

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

• The order in which participants speak will be determined before each competition by drawing of lots

• Speakers can speak for or against the topic. During the 15 minutes preparation period, speakers will not have the time to engage in the same level of detailed brainstorming or research as their prepared speech. They should make notes for reference during their speech. They should focus on having a good introduction (30 seconds approx) and conclusion (30 seconds approx) and they should think about one or two main points for the main section of their speech (2 minutes approx)

• The Speaker will stand either on a stage or in front of the room

• The Speaker must not read his speech

• Timing's will be told on spot
